Magic United FC - Sports Development Officer

Magic United FC, located at Birmingham Rd & Emmanuel College Dr, Carrara QLD 4211, offers a full‑time Sports Development Officer role to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Coaching, training and instructing contractors by assessing performances and developing abilities.
• Planning and directing strategies, developing playing patterns.
• Managing sports development budgets.
• Analyzing game progress, motivating sportspeople and supervising dedicated practice sessions.
• Recruiting coaches and training staff.
• Promoting skill development and overseeing player participation.
• Member retention and recruitment of recent members.
• Recruiting new sportspersons.
• Coaching and presenting at team meetings.
• Conducting coach reviews and updating manuals.
• Enforcing rules and regulations within the club.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills, outgoing nature, passion for the sport.
• Strong initiative, self‑motivation and ability to motivate others.
• Ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and members of the club.

Compensation

$70,000 AUD per year + superannuation; salary range $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year.

Location

Work location: Carrara, QLD 4211 (in person). Must relocate to Carrara, QLD 4211 before starting work.

Work Authorization

Preferred: Australia.
