We have a great opportunity for you to join our Family & Wellbeing team working at the John McVeity Centre (JMC), a vibrant hub for recreational and community activities.
The John McVeity Centre (JMC) is dedicated to providing a wide range of formal and informal sports, group and individual fitness and community development activities where our community finds connection and engagement.
What you’ll do- Schedule and coordinate a range of court sports in accordance with the current, mid-season sports program at the JMC.
- Provide high level customer service across court sports, venue hire, front reception, and canteen sales.
- Contribute to promoting the court sports program within the community, with a focus on improving physical and mental wellbeing through physical activity.
- Liaise with and assist hirers of the JMC with enquiries, complaints, and requests.
- Support the facilitation of easy access of hirer groups into function areas.
- Support the operation of a small canteen, including reconciliation of cash and EFT payments.
What you’ll bring to our team- Experience in managing and scheduling a seasonal court sports program.
- High level of customer service experience.
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Cash handling including EFTPOS, cash and online transactions.
- Proven ability to effectively use ICT systems including H&L, booking systems and the Microsoft suite.
- A certificate in community services/development or sports and recreation related discipline is desirable but not essential.
