Duty Manager - UNSW Fitness & Aquatic Centre - Closing 13 Dec 2019
Description Lead a team of approx. 5 lifeguards on any given shift Be a visible presence both on pool deck and in other areas of the facility Be available for various shifts throughout the week We are now looking for 2 Duty Managers to come and join the fun and energetic team at UNSW Fitness & Aquatic Centre, ideally we would require you to work various shifts between the hours of 5am to 10pm throughout the week. About your new role You will be reporting to the Operations Coordinator, however your shift will consist of leading a team of approx. 4-5 Lifeguards and be a visible presence to support and guide them on shift. You will also do regular water testing and chemical balancing of all pools in the facility. You will be the first point of contact when management have left for the day or not available in all aspects of the facility. This role will also consist of you covering breaks for Lifeguards on your shift and in all other departments in the facility. This is an exciting opportunity for a current Lifeguard looking for more responsibility and career development opportunities! VenuesLive also provides catering services at other sports and entertainment venues in the Sydney Metropolitan area and in Wollongong. The following opportunity exists to VenuesLive’s Information Communications Technology (ICT) team and be part of Australia’s sporting and entertainment future. The successful applicant will be joining a dynamic, high achieving team which strives to ‘Make the Greatest Things Happen’. The role is focused on taking ownership of, improving and supporting the Company’s ICT Business Systems environment, through the formulation of business specifications to create system and software solutions. The scope of ICT business systems supported will include cloud based, server and desktop computer systems, core enterprise systems (UBS, Task Retail POS and TimeTarget) as well as a range of other business systems including visitor entry systems, catering systems, IPTV systems, production systems, wireless networks and radio communication systems. Additional systems currently being implemented key to the ICT support function include the Office 365, ICT knowledgebase and staff collaboration tools. The key responsibilities of the position include: Work with other business units and end users to formulate and document business requirements for supported systems. Assist in documenting existing business processes in relation to business systems to identify efficiency and performance improvements, as well as identification of other system opportunities. Collaborate with digital project managers on development of scoping, resourcing and budgets for identified projects. In conjunction with the ICT Manager, develop and implement test plans for new and upgrades to existing systems. Create and deploy training documentation on company knowledgebase. Ensure all key business systems are operational and meet planned design and configuration standards. Act as central resource for ICT department at user group meetings documenting issues and requirements as it relates to system improvement and functionality. Formulate development requests and submit to vendors as required. Train business users on core system support functionality to allow quick resolution of issues occurring Identify system efficiency integration opportunities and work with internal development team to implement improvements. On a rotational basis or in conjunction with other ICT team members, attend Company Events (ANZ Stadium, Bankwest Stadium and other external sites) and provide ICT and business systems support (UBS, TimeTarget, Radio Communications, POS, ATMs, Operator Systems and Virtual Servers) to all stakeholders. As a minimum, the successful applicants must have the following skills and qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or similar discipline. Proven ability in translating high level business requirements into tailored system and solution requirements. Proven record in adopting innovative solutions, best practices and new technologies. Competency in Microsoft Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 / 2016, Active Directory, Group Policy, SharePoint. Cloud based applications including Drobox, Office 365, Smartsheet and Adobe. Competency with Point of Sale Systems (Task Retail / InfoGenesis). Competency in Crystal Report Writing and UBS. Competency with TimeTarget Time and Attendance software. At least 2 years’ experience in a venue environment. Pathways Strength and Conditioning Coach - Glamorgan Cricket Club - Salary £20,000 - £24,000 per annum - Closing date 18 December 2019

The Position The overall purpose of this role is to lead the delivery of Strength and Conditioning across the Glamorgan County Cricket Pathway and to assist the Lead S&C coach in delivery of S&C services to the professional players. Main Duties: • Conduct fitness assessments 3 times per year for all Academy players, and various development squads, or as deemed appropriate by Lead S&C and Academy Director • Report results of screening and assessment to the Lead S&C, coaches and players as soon as possible using effective means of communication • Plan and deliver an annually periodised strength and conditioning plan based on player and GCCC requirements • Ensure a minimum of 2 sessions per week with the academy players • Manage and oversee physical preparation of players that are in boarding schools • Supervise monthly stature measurements for identified players • Provide player education sessions • Work alongside GCCC Physiotherapists and the Lead S&C Coach to provide rehabilitation to injured players • In conjunction with Lead S&C and Physiotherapist, work towards developing a robust pathway system that supports the development of world’s best practice for GCCC • Undertake regular professional development to keep abreast of world’s best practice • Manage and supervise work experience support for all age group sessions (primarily off-season) The Person The successful candidate will have the following experience / skills / qualities: • Experience gained in a professional sport • Sports science / S&C degree; preferably post-graduate level
 • Knowledge of elite cricket performance and practice methods
 • Experience of working with developing athletes • High quality S&C programming and coaching skills
 • Practical knowledge of injury rehabilitation and prevention training
 • Practical knowledge of nutrition strategies and recovery practices to support performance and health • Practical knowledge of monitoring and analysis systems • Leadership skills and ability to influence individuals and key stakeholders • Good presentation skills
 In addition, the role also requires: • Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check 
 • Basic Life Support (sport specific) maintained annually 
 • Full UK driver’s license 
 • UKSCA accreditation (or ability to achieve within 6 months)
