We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a retiring or recently retired performance athlete to join the Scottish Rowing performance coaching team for a two-year period as part of the Coaching Futures programme. The Coaching Futures programme, funded by sportscotland and now supporting its third cohort, aims to increase the pool of home-grown world class coaches by creating opportunities for performance athletes to transition into coaching roles. The apprentice coach will receive a bespoke learning and development programme, supported by Scottish Rowing, sportscotland and the GB Rowing Team, to help support their transition into coaching and their progression as a coach. Time will be allocated as part of the standard working week for personal development as well as ‘on-the-job’ learning. The apprentice coach can expect to be deployed at various levels within the performance pathway including, but not limited to, the Institute Programme, the World Class...
