Evangelos Andrikos
Performance Analyst & Scouter Athens, Greece
I have graduated INSA – Institute of Sports Analysis in 2020. During my studies I was Head Performance Analyst for Athinaikos Handball Club Men’s Team providing full team’s performance analysis and scouting opponents. I have also collaborated briefly with Thiella Rafinas Football Club Academy recording games for K16 and K14. Continuing and during the 2020/2021 season as a head performance analyst I have worked as a direct external partner with AEK H.C. coach Dimitrios Dimitroulias for the European Cup. At the end of the season AEK H.C. won the European Cup trophy, my biggest achievement so far as a performance and scout opponents’ analyst. Performance analysis is the process of assessing performance in a sport to develop an understanding of actions that can inform decision-making, optimize performance and support coaches and players in their journey towards optimal results. In many team sports this would consist on tactical assessment, movement analysis, video and statistical databasing and modeling and coach and player data presentations. Also, vital contribution to success is to scout and recognize opponent’s patterns.
Patrick Jessel
Sports management London, UK
I have over 11 years of leadership experience in the sports industry, planning and implementing a wide range of successful events and projects.  I am a sociable team player and have developed strong partnerships with GB athletes, corporate businesses, volunteers, and national governing bodies to deliver initiatives in support of the Olympic legacy.  My roles in delivering these events have varied: from initiating event ideas, to managing the necessary administration such as putting together athletes’ schedules, managing databases and the financial budgets. I am also a successful fundraiser, having raised around £30,000 for athletes and schools over a 2 year period.      Since starting at GB Active 5 years ago, I have been organising multiple bootcamps.  These regular training sessions have offered opportunities for GB athletes to bring their skills and inspiration to the community.  Alongside the bootcamps, I have delivered more bespoke events, such as arranging kayaking experiences for the public with a world class kayaker, or bringing some inspiring sporting stories and athlete-delivered activities to over 100 people at a city bank’s wellbeing day.  Before GB Active, I arranged workshops across the country bringing over 20 GB athletes to around 300 schools.  I managed the logistical details of these events, mapping out travel and accommodation, and capturing data to efficiently analyse the feedback in order to adapt our services.  I also liaised with government public health programmes, as Change For life, to ensure our messaging was aligned.   I currently volunteer with the England Touch Rugby Association, remotely coordinating sports development officers in the South East region of the UK. This has involved communicating closely with the six voluntary development officers on a regular basis to plan, assess and adapt strategic outlines on developing touch rugby in schools. During my time so far, I have extended the programme from secondary schools to primary schools by developing operational and training programmes for rugby workshops, competitions and events.  Over my career I have accumulated considerable insight into the workings of the sports industry and have developed detailed experience in the administrative functions of running successful events. I am really keen to apply these skills to a new role, supporting and being part of a sociable team on delivering projects, programmes or events.  I attach my resume for your consideration. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss the role further and how my skills can help.

exercise physiology
Please accept this letter as my formal application to your organization.  My confidence in my application is based off my clinical experiences as an athletic trainer and doctoral degree in exercise science (exercise physiology).  This dual credential has given me a unique perspective and the ability to reach across to medical practioners and sports science experts as well.  My athletic training background and educational experience has endured my ability to reach coaches and athletes alike with a prospective that each can understand and potentially apply. My closest employment to this proposed position was my employment as the Coordinator of Medical Systems for the San Antonio Spurs.  My administrative experience as an NBA team medical coordinator, head athletic trainers for US Olympic teams and NCAA institution, football athletic trainer at a Big 10, Big 12 and Pac 10 university have prepared me for the challenges of your job position.  My research program currently involves the investigation of sport supplements and ergogenic aids on overtraining markers tied to the NCAA Policy on drug testing.  Serving as Medical Coordinator for the San Antonio Spurs organization provided a unique opportunity to integrate my background in Sports Medicine with my exercise physiology education.  The experience of working along side the three USATF Olympic Teams and multiple World Teams have broadened my reach and relationship to international scientists and national governing bodies.   My interests and expertise are broad and range from athletic training/sports science with specialization in manual therapy; to anatomy and kinesiology; to exercise sports physiology, my doctoral area of specialization.  I have extensive knowledge of 3D Motion Capture (Qualysis and DARI), GPS tracking systems (CataPult, StatsVu, Imotial, etc) particularly as the second CataPult customer outside Australia starting in 2010, database workload systems (Edge10, Apollo, etc.) and body mapping (Fusionetics, P3, FMS, etc.).   I brought these technologies to the San Antonio Spurs along with biological systems bringing the team forward from a first round play-off loser to a world championship in only 4 years of my employment.  Additionally, I held the position of medical coordinator and head athletic trainer for USA Track and Field (USATF) national teams.  I have included a copy of my curriculum vitae as well as happy to provide professional list of references that have agreed to serve as professional references on my behalf upon request.  I am excited about the possible employment with your organization, as I am seeking a new professional challenge at this point in my career.  I look forward to further discussions about this employment opportunity.  Feel free to contact me by telephone at 512-393-9503 or by email at jransone@huskers.com.   Sincerely yours, Jack Ransone, PhD, ATC, FACSM Professor, Director, Nebraska Athletic Performance Laboratory

Polyvios Kyritsis
rehabilitator
I am a senior sports rehabilitator currently employed in Aspetar, Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital where I am working for the last almost 9 years. I am an experienced sports rehabilitator with a great expertise in the rehabilitation of football players. I am currently working in a country with a high multicultural profile, something that has really developed my communication skills with people from different ethnic backgrounds. As a sports rehabilitator, I have the knowledge of the whole physiotherapy process of athletes and this has positioned me as a coordinator for the whole rehabilitation process. I am managing to organize the whole team of physiotherapists, physical coaches, hydro-therapists, rehabilitation coaches and massage therapists till the athletes return back to full sports participation. I also have a role in the decision making of whether the athletes are ready to be discharged by the hospital or not. My main expertise is the last phase of rehabilitation and especially the sports specific rehabilitation. I have developed a whole approach on football specific and position specific rehabilitation involving the injury rehabilitation together with a full preparation of the injured player's conditioning in order to return safe back to pre-injury level. I have an AFC level C football coaching license, making me able to teach and correct athletes’ technique in order for them to achieve their full potential. I am interested in research and have done some high level publications. I am at the moment making my PhD with a special interest in return to sport after ACL and research on risk factors of ACL injuries and re-injuries. My experience on working with high level football clubs like Panathinaikos F.C and Qatar Senior Football National Team, makes me be aware of all the needs that high level athletes may have. All these years, I am trying to develop myself, professionally by following many courses as well as presenting courses and workshops to national and international conferences. Andrew Carrano
mental skills coach
I have recently completed my Masters Degree in Sport Psychology at Roehampton University. Here I enhanced my skills in concepts such as imagery, self-talk, relaxation, profiling and interviewing. It has enabled me to develop an understanding of how to help athletes use these psychological principles to achieve optimal mental health and improve their performance. Additionally, my university projects have allowed to gain a deeper knowledge in team cohesion, collective efficacy and leadership, vital to achieving team success. I currently hold a Level Two coaching badge and will be completing my UEFA B qualification in the near future. Coaching a range of ages at various levels, including at Watford Community Trust, has taught me to organize and tailor training schedules to greater effect, building upon my experience gained when coaching at school team level, advising on tactics and providing post-match critical analysis. These skills I believe to be transferable into business. Currently, I am working at Fulham FC across ages of the youth academy as a mental skills coach. Parallel to this, I am completing my BPS stage 2 accreditation in January. My role at Fulham requires me to run various workshop, on and off the training pitch, on concepts such as self-control, motivation, attention etc. In addition to this I liaise with parents on how to support their child’s development at the club and what kind of questions and strategies they can help implement at home. Additionally, I attend multi-disciplinary meetings to gain more information on certain players and provide specific training. Part of my training to become a sport psychologist is to build relationships and gain trust in one to one situations. This allows for more open discussions with athletes and enables me to develop and structure a more unique intervention. Although my role at Fulham is to offer mental skills coaching, a big part of the role is to support athlete development away from football. By supporting them through education and various parts of life, athletes can continue to progress as people outside of their sport. Liaising with parents, teachers and various educational institutions has given me great knowledge in helping athletes develop future educational and employment plans beyond sport, which I believe I can transfer to the given role. https://www.linkedin.com/in/andrew-carrano-3879b6102/ Thank you for considering this application, Andrew Carrano

physiotherapist
To Whom It May Concern: As my CV shows, I have over 11 years experience as a physiotherapist, with my last 18 months working in professional sport.  In addition to this I have over 8 years experience working in football, in particular at an academy level, with my dissertation at MSc level being based on elite academy aged footballers performance testing. In my most recent role as lead physiotherapist of professional sailing team Soft Bank Team Japan, I was in charge for overseeing the rehabilitation of all injured athletes.  I also worked in unison with strength and conditioning staff to create bespoke injury prevention protocols for each of the sailors.   Injury prevention and the adolescent performer are key areas of interest for myself.  I have constructed a number of injury prevention programs for footballers but also other adolescent performers, in sports including, swimming, cricket, golf and athletics.  Though injury programs may be transient across all age groups, my understanding of child and adolescent development through the Long Term Athletic Development ethos, means I have created bespoke injury programs addressing performers maturation rather than chronological age.   I am confident that I can bring a high level of physiotherapy and injury prevention to multiple different sporting set ups.  With my previous experience and expertise, I believe I can become a valuable member of a performance team. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Ellis Brindley
Physiotherapist
My name is Ellis Brindley and I am a recent graduate from the University of Derby in Sport and Exercise Science. I am currently looking for opportunities within the development of performance, specifically, strength and conditioning. Since finishing my specialisations in Injury Rehabilitation and Strength and Conditioning, I have been driven to pursue a career within this area of athletic development. Upon receiving a first class grade in both my specialisations I began gaining experience at a national 3 rugby club (Sutton Coldfield RFC). I worked underneath a physiotherapist, who dealt with the injury side at the club including the rehabilitation element of major injuries. I also ran a 4 month strength and conditioning protocol as part of pre-season interventions to aid the athletic development of the players during the early stages of the 16/17 season. I delivered sessions through into the season developing warm ups and metabolic conditioning activities to suit the needs of these athletes. My most recent work is as a strength and conditioning coach for alpine skiers during the off-season where I would prepare athletes for the following winter race season or race camps during the off season. Please find attached my CV for further information as to what I can offer, qualifications and further experience.

Hollie Charles
Physiotherapist
I have worked within the medical department at Southampton Football Club Academy for the past two seasons, full-time, on a sandwich year, in the 2015/16 season and upon returning to university, I continued part-time during the 2016/17 season. I worked with elite players from the age of 7 to 23. This gave me experience in dealing with a wide range of sporting injuries and musculoskeletal conditions, including a number of adolescent and growth related conditions. I am aware of the special needs of football players and have developed many individualised rehabilitation programs for a range of football and growth-related injuries. I have learnt the importance of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and how each department must work together to provide the best possible standard of medical care, this includes keeping up to date notes on the online PMA system but also keeping a detailed record of academy injuries to assess for any trends. During my full-time season, the club underwent its EPPP audit and managed to maintain its Category 1 status. In the run up to this, I was involved in staff meetings, planning the various aspects which would be assessed and gained an understanding of what the experience involved. In addition to working in a professional environment, I also hold the position of Sports Therapist for the University of Chichester Men’s Football First Team. Working with this team has improved my confidence as I am often the only person with medical knowledge and have limited equipment when injuries do occur. It also meant I often am the first point of call 24/7 when injuries occurred, even if they had physiotherapists with outside teams. I often led pre-habilitation sessions with the academy players and this is a process I bought back to university, along with pre-activation before training and games. Although, as you see I am only graduating this year, I believe that my experience proves I am hard working and address your position requirements. I have a sound knowledge around both football-related injuries, which affect both younger and older players, and how to provide a high standard of rehabilitation for these conditions.

Michael Carolan (preferred name Mike)
coaching
I have worked for over ten years in the fields of coaching, strength and conditioning and rehabilitation. I am an enthusiastic hard working individual who takes pride in helping others. I have worked in solo and as part of high pressured interdisciplinary teams within elite performance set ups. I hold an MSc in Exercise and Sports Science and a BSc in Sports Rehabilitation. In addition to my training I am set to complete the UKSCA accreditation pathway later this year, having undertook the whole process over the last two years. After this I intend to complete both NSCA and BASES accreditation within the next 2 years. One day I intend to undertake another MSc potentially in Strength and Conditioning and a long term goal of mine in the not too distant future is to complete a PhD in a subject pertaining to athletic performance and rehabilitation.   I am a confident and driven individual, I have a track record of working with all age groups male and female. As such feel I am fully capable of delivering performance, injury prevention and rehabilitation support to your academy players working in an interdisciplinary nature with other professionals.   I have a track record of establishing strength and conditioning and rehabilitative best practice, including injury reduction interventions such as my time at Manchester City Ladies where we instigated a jump training warm up that saw a 90% reduction in non-traumatic knee injuries.   During my 6 years in track and field I helped athletes compete both nationally and internationally, one such individual was able to take his personal best from 11.2 seconds down to 10.8 breaking the club record and attending the national championships in Bedford.   I have never shied away from challenges having set up the rehabilitation and strength and conditioning (reconditioning) protocols in my current role, working alongside the Physiotherapist(s) on camp and helping to discharge over 250 injured soldiers. A bi-product of this new approach saw several soldiers attending Special Forces Selection based on their fitness outcomes. This trend saw more soldiers coming to me for support in attempting the demanding SAS and Special Forces selection courses. Overall we have seen a 60% drop in injury rates based on the new approach to both training and rehabilitation since my arrival in 2014.   My training, experience and research endeavours have seen me utilise Sports Science equipment including isokinetic dynamometers, kistler force plates, quantic 3 dimensional motion capture technology, heart rate monitors, wattbikes, body fat calipers and 2 dimensional video analysis. I have three years fitness testing at West Bromwich Albion FC as part of this.   During my time with Great Britain Basketball, England Lacrosse and Macclesfield RUFC I undertook athletic screening and fitness tests to feed back into training camps and potential strength and conditioning interventions for the players. This fed into squad selection during training camps and preseason and gave players targets and coaches have consulted with me on player progress and suitability. Some of this has been taken from the FMS or from well-known athletic screening tasks such as the star excursion balance test and yo-yo intermittent fitness test.   I am able to deliver 121 and group sessions and have done this in all of my roles including RAMP warm ups, technical running sessions, Olympic lifting sessions and 3 dimensional fascial / yoga style mobility sessions. My teaching experience has given me the skills to deliver to large groups with clear session goals and feedback to aid in building intrinsic athlete motivation to develop and improve on both athletic and personal levels.   Part of my work has meant juggling up to 5 roles at any one time, across different sites working 7 days a week, including unsociable hours to meet the needs of my athletes. This has included national and international travel with teams in rugby and basketball.   I am able to undertake DBS checks, as I have 8 years of working for the Manchester Youth Service I am accustomed to checks in addition to child protection training. This was before my professional work in this field, where I worked as a Sports and Youth Outreach Team Leader with 8-16 year olds.   My strengths are that I am always learning, never afraid to fail, get up and go again. I am always the first there as I hate being late and often the last to leave. I have a passion for what I do and I love working as part of a team, towards a goal. I love my work. It is one of my achievements, that I have undertook this work and completed the studies being the first in my family to complete an undergraduate degree.   I have a full UK drivers licence and membership with BASRaT and associate membership to the UKSCA.
