Career Objective

 

My career aims are to be involved in working with elite athletes and teaching/coaching with the area of sport and more specifically football. I have a number of objectives, such as the ability to educate others within higher education in the area of sport/football. I also want to be a positive influence within the area of football development in this country.

I taught BTEC First and National Diplomas in the subject of Sport & Exercise Sciences. Modules that were taught were those such as: anatomy, psychology, coaching, sports leadership, fitness training, instructing physical activity and nutrition. I was responsible for preparing and teaching classes and writing, setting and marking assignments for classes of 6-24 individuals aged 16-19 years old.

Burnley Football Club

November 2014-Present

Academy Coach U16’s/U15’s

Having recently been asked to join Burnley Football Club I have taken on the role of the new U16 football coach, responsible for the creating and delivery of sessions and management of match day fixtures. I am also required to attach all relevant coaching documentation to the PMA as part of my role. For the 2015-16 season I have taken the U15 squad.

 

Rochdale Football Club

February 2014-November 2014

Academy Coach U13’s/U14’s

Having recently been employed by Rochdale football club, I took up the role of academy coach with the U13 squad for the remainder of the 2013-14 season where I was responsible for the implementation of training and games. Also was part of the EPPP audit that was carried out in May 2014 that helped the club achieve Category 3 status. In the 2014-15 season I have been given the U14 squad to continue my work with for the upcoming season.

 

Sydney University

Head Football Coach of Women’s Premier League Reserve Team

As head coach I am responsible for the development of each of my players as well as achieving the results expected of the team by Sydney University. I was responsible for the training of the players and team tactics and match day selection. I was required to liaise with other departments such as the medical team as well as the strength and conditioning department to ensure all my players are kept fit and safe at all times. My team finished runners up in the New South Wales Grand Final for reserve grade for the 2012 season.
