Sydney West Sports Medicine (SWSM) specialises in delivering high-quality treatment by providing patients with a multidisciplinary approach to their rehabilitation through our range services including; Sports & Exercise Medicine Physicians, PhysiotherapyExercise Physiology, Chiropractic’s, Dietetics, Podiatry and Massage Therapy.

Our practitioners follow an evidence-based approach with a focus on manual therapy and exercise, and aim to provide a high-quality service focusing on individualised care. SWSM has access to a range of state-of-the-art facilities including a commercial gym, hydrotherapy pool, world-class gymnastics centre, anti-gravity treadmill (Alter-G), shockwave machine and more!

SWSM offers fantastic opportunities for career growth and development at our Rooty Hill clinic and also as we expand into our new facility the “International Centre of Training Excellence”. Blacktown City Council has commenced building this world-leading high performance, sports medicine, education and accelerated recovery centre, which will open early 2023.

SWSM will offer the guidance of mentors (including our Directors who have worked at the highest level, with several of the Australian Olympic teams for many years), where you will receive ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge, along with a commitment to regular in-house professional development opportunities.

Our clinic has a diverse caseload ranging from private patients and athletic populations to Workers Compensation and NDIS. This will give the practitioner opportunities to broaden their scope and challenge their clinical reasoning skills.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, possess a strong work ethic and be able to work as part of a team. You will have excellent communication skills, a caring attitude and a passion for helping people and future injury prevention.

Your essential attributes, skills and experience include:

  • Appropriate undergraduate or post-graduate coursework with Physiotherapy qualification.
  • AHPRA registration with no practice limitations
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with an attention to detail
  • Flexibility to accommodate clinic demands
  • Experience in both sport and musculoskeletal physiotherapy in private practice setting (at least 3 years) is preferred.
  • Good manual therapy skills
  • Available to work Saturdays

You will be required to undergo a working with children check and national police check.
