At Events is an innovative and rapidly growing corporate event organisation specialising in Corporate Entertainment experiences at Sporting events, Shows, Concerts, cultural events and Special Events. This role will incorporate work on a major charity event managed by AT Events as well as general event marketing preparation and assisting with the delivery of a series of key events.
The successful applicant must have exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication and organisational skills, a professional 'can do' attitude and the ability to juggle numerous tasks simultaneously. This role would suit a person who is motivated to build a career in the events industry and is passionate about events and event marketing.
Minimum requirements for this role:
Some experience in Event management, along with a desire to pursue event management into the future. Currently undertaking a qualification in Events, marketing or similar would be strongly advantageous, as would an interest in sport.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Outlook and Word. Adobe suite knowledge advantageous.
Understanding of Event operations, IT, and Website applications will also be highly regarded.
Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
Ability to work remotely, or at the office, when needed
Ability to work at key events including being fully vaccinated against COVID19 per government requirements
Reporting to the Operations Manager as a part of the Operations team, you will be assisting with:
Hospitality / Event Duties:
Event preparation & coordination: such as key event documents, supplier dealings, event logistics bump in/out, etc.
Management of event items & donations including inventory, supplier discussions, onsite displays etc.
Booking system: Updating information on events & product stocks.
Event research and bookings.
Event hosting (may involve working weekends and evenings, Key dates to be discussed at interview)
Updating social media (LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook) and websites for major events.
Liaising with staff + suppliers for onsite marketing material.
Front desk reception including answering telephones, mail management etc.
Assistance to Management & Directors as required.
Sourcing office supplies and event collateral.
General office duties.
The Operations department is responsible for the delivery of the company events to our clients. The events must be exceptionally executed as well as being an attractive offering for the company. Therefore, a reasonably high level of comfort with client interaction, numbers/budgets, stock / collateral management and supplier negotiations is required to successfully perform in this position.
Employer and Other Details
Hours (flexible) - 9.30am to 4.30pm (Mon - Thurs) however we are open to flexible working hours dependant on applicant.
Location: Lower North Shore, noting that some work will need to be undertaken remotely due to current COVID situation.
Start date: Ongoing - to be arranged with successful applicant. Initially 10-15 hours of casual work per week.
Contract Time: To be arrange with successful applicant. Event needs run through to mid-December however prospect of ongoing employment will be discussed with the candidate.
Pay rate: Casual payrate in line with Hospitality award.
