The School Kimbolton School was founded in 1600 and is situated in 100 acres of grounds in the West Huntingdon town of Kimbolton. The School currently educates over 1000 children aged 4-18 in a co-educational, predominantly day environment, although there are 43 boarders. The Senior School is located around Kimbolton Castle while the Preparatory School is housed to the west of the village on the original Grammar School site. The School employs approximately 400 staff and also owns a subsidiary company, Kimbolton School Enterprises, which transacts all non-charitable trading activity.

Kimbolton School Swimming Pool Our 25 metre pool, which was opened in June 2000, offers a wide variety of public swimming and lessons throughout the year to the local community (subject to the school timetable). The pool is also available for hire to schools and swimming clubs in the area.
Kimbolton School Swimming Pool is a RLSS Approved Lifeguard Training Centre. As an Approved Training Centre the pool undergoes regular inspection to ensure it is maintaining strict standards for lifeguard training and the teaching of NPLQ courses. In December 2014 we were awarded 100% at an external Approved Training Centre inspection for our training of lifeguards.
The Role The pool is led by two Swimming Pool Managers, supported by a dedicated team of lifeguards. During term time, Kimbolton Swimming Pool serves the adjoining Preparatory and Senior School, and many local primary schools. Outside of term time, the pool is open to the public, available to hire for private parties, or by local schools and swimming clubs in the Cambridgeshire area.
We are looking to appoint two full time Lifeguard Team Leaders to start as soon as possible. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all pool users and demonstrate a passion for working in Leisure. Successful applicants if not already qualified; will be trained to deliver and teach Swimming Lessons to children of all ages. You will be working closely with the Pool Managers and need to have the ability to be flexible and adaptable in changing situations. Have excellent organisational, interpersonal and customer service skills. Be able to communicate well with other team members and be happy to deal with customers on a face-to-face basis as well as over the telephone and on email. Follow all policies and procedures and enforce them to ensure effective operation of the swimming pool. Hours 37.5 per week to work on a rota basis which will include daytime, evening, and some weekend work.
