The Communications and Engagement Manager will manage the development and delivery of Baseball NSW’s (BNSW) communication strategy. The key objective of the role is to increase awareness and engagement, participation, membership and uptake of baseball in NSW.

Working within a small team your responsibilities will be;

  • Creation, ownership and implementation 2021-2024 Communication Strategic plan 
  • Ensuring the right messages are delivered to the right stakeholders at the right time
  • Oversee and ensure the integrity of BNSW’s brand identity in all communications 
  • Act as content owner of BNSW’s website and social media platforms to drive increased visitations and followers 
  • Develop and implement media content plans to build knowledge and awareness of BNSW’s community engagement 
  • Maintaining a calendar of activity to ensure BNSW’s communication is efficiently planned, created and delivered 
  • Leverage earned media outcomes through the development and distribution of information, Press Releases and BNSW social media content 
  • Develop direct to member communications including but not limited to email, newsletters and direct to social media posts 
  • Delivery of communication advice and content planning to staff across the BNSW programs 
  • Identifying and managing media risks and opportunities 
  • Supporting media, promotional messaging for BNSW competitions, associations and clubs

Essential Criteria;

  • At lease 4-5 years in a similar communications role, preferably in sport 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to plan and deliver end-to-end communication strategies 
  • Hands-on experience with web content management tools 
  • Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics 
  • Strong experience in using multiple distribution channels to ensure maximum impact of message
  • Sound digital marketing and content generation experience across key Social Media platforms 
  • Some experience in managing staff
