Millfield School is looking for a UKCC Level 2 qualified Netball Coach to support the development and delivery of the Netball Programme.
Millfield is an independent boarding school with outstanding pastoral and co-curricular activities, set in the heart of Somerset. We cater for approximately 1230 pupils aged 13 to 18, all of whom are engaged in sport and physical activities. We have outstanding facilities and a vibrant multisport environment.
As a Development Netball Coach at Millfield you will get to work in outstanding facilities with both indoor and outdoor courts and have support from full-time athletic development coaches as well as onsite physiotherapists and performance analysis. You will integrate into a fully engaged team of coaches with a common goal of giving each pupil the best opportunity to reach their full potential. Netball at Millfield also has strong links with a number of Super league franchises and hosts one of the Superleague franchise hubs at Millfield.
The successful candidate will either have proven experience working with elite players in the performance pathway or experience themselves of playing netball to a good level, experience of umpiring is also advantageous.
This is a full-time role primarily working Monday to Saturday during term time plus four weeks in the school holidays. Due to the nature of the role, flexibility with hours is key as you may also be asked to assist on tours and away tournaments. In return you will receive a salary of £18,000 (including holiday pay). Accommodation and meals in the dining hall are also available in exchange for assistance with the boarding programme.
