The GM Club Development (MTB) will contribute to and support the implementation of AusCycling programs that inspire, empower and build capability in MTB (mountain bike) clubs through education and engagement.

Club Development (MTB)
Enhance, strengthen and grow AusCycling’s MTB club network by establishing a direct link back to the Member Services Team
Collaborate with GM Club Development (R&T) and (BMX) to identify, document and share best practice across the network.
Support the Data and Governance lead to maintain the Club Health checklist for MTB and proactively identify areas where AusCycling can better support Clubs.
Contribute to the Club Bike Shed – an online resource library for Clubs.
Collaborate with the Sport, Participation and Member Services delivery teams to grow and diversify the participation and volunteer base of cycling.
Work with the Data and Governnace lead to support the development of club governance frameworks.
Champion the continuous development of people, processes and operational capabilities across the network.
Work closely with the relevant State Advisory Council members, club leaders, private coaches, promoters, local councils and advocacy groups to identify opportunities to grow and enhance the presence of mountain biking in communities promoted and supported by AusCycling
Promote talent related coaching activity in a range of environments enhancing the connection across the talent pathway, supporting the various talent development teams and groups we will establish.
Increase the uptake and engagement with AusCycling’s products, programmes and services.
Support new initiatives, programs and technology solutions by creating an environment which stimulates ideas and drives member engagement and outcomes.
Positively represent and be an ambassador for AusCycling.
Safeguard the integrity of AusCycling through implementation of the highest standards and community expectations within the state or territory with regard to inclusion, the safety and wellbeing of children, and anti- doping.
Ensure a continued compliance with environmental, health and safety and quality requirements within the state or territory.
Contribute to State Advisory Council and Board Reports as required.
Contribute to AusCycling strategic and operational planning processes.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Demonstrated collaborative leadership style, people management experience and an ability to lead change.
Exceptional communication skills, including verbally and in writing, and the ability to advocate, represent, influence, negotiate and resolve conflicts should they arise.
Demonstrated experience and strategic understanding of the political and policy landscape.
Experience engaging in and applying high level critical thinking to deliver performance and results.
Experience establishing and maintaining extensive stakeholder relationships and networks for the benefit of the organisation.
Demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating community programs.
