Aspire2Be Academy of Sport is an elite level academic and performance academy within the further education sector. Our academic programme is balanced alongside all of our elite performance sports, delivered within our high performance environment at the world-class facilities of the University of Warwick.
Our elite Academy sports are; Football (male & female), Basketball, Rugby, Netball and Athlete Development.
We are TASS accredited institution, boasting 100% academic pass achievement and progression rates within the Aspire2Be Academy of Sport, including 7 student-athletes who have achieved international sporting honours.

The role includes, but is not limited to:
Planning, preparing and delivering lessons in line with the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).
Understanding the intent, implementation and impact of the Education Inspection Framework (EIF).
Teaching on a variety of Level 3 subject areas within the academic qualification.
Monitoring, assessing and recording the progress of student-athletes throughout the academic year.
Working in-line with the assessment plan, curriculum strategy and localised curriculum plan when delivering academic lessons.
Assessing student-athlete work in a timely manner, providing constructive feedback to all student-athletes.
Maintaining accurate records of student-athletes progress using Aspire2Be Coaching’s record keeping procedures.
Reporting to the Head of Quality on the progress of student-athletes .

Skills, Qualifications and Attitude.
This includes but is not limited to:
Degree level qualification. Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training. Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills (QTLS) (desirable). Member of the Society for Education & Training (desirable). Relevant experience of working within the collegiate sector (desirable). NGB specific coaching qualifications (desirable). Passionate about working within a high performing academic and sport performing environment. An attitude to go ‘above and beyond’. Strong human skills. GDPR, Safeguarding and DBS compliant.

The FE Sport Tutor requires a ‘can do’ attitude. The role requires flexibility to work some evenings and weekends when required to do so. This is a full-time performance driven role and the successful candidate will receive extensive professional development in-line with our performance management processes.
