Job Description

Term: 3 Years (Paris Cycle)
Commencement: 1 November 2021
Location: Flexible
Position Reports To: HP Committee Chairperson

Time Commitment

At least 4 meetings per annum, with a more intensive time commitment leading up to major events or if issues arise.

Core Purpose

To provide an independent voice on our High Performance Committee which oversees the strategic direction of the High Performance Program inline with the current HA Strategic Plan.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Considerable high performance experience as an athlete, coach or administrator 
  • Approaches the role with energy and enthusiasm, with an independent personality
  • A strong vision and passion for the future of High Performance Hockey
  • A strong understanding of both the industry and competitive sectors of the sport on a domestic and international level
  • A broad domestic and international network of contacts across all aspects of the industry
  • Strong integrity and ethical compass in meeting fiduciary duties and responsibilities and putting Hockey Australia interests before others
  • Able to build and maintain collaborative relationships with management, the Board of Directors and external stakeholders
  • A willing participant with a genuine interest in Hockey Australia, its athletes and its high performance program

In order to comply with mandatory Child Safety Standards, all voluntary positions are subject to a valid Working with Children Check.

Other Information

Associated expenses for Committee members to attend meetings (travel and accommodation if required) will be met by HA
