1. The Department
Aston Villa Football Club are seeking a talented, committed and proactive individual to join our Academy Performance Analysis Department in the position of Performance Analyst.
The Academy Performance Analysis Department looks to maximise the skillsets of each individual staff member to enhance the content produced within each area of our delivery cycle. The Department works very closely with Coaching staff, therefore all members of the Department require a strong understanding of the Technical and Tactical requirements of the game. We provide and deliver high quality Analysis content through a variety of different methods to support the Academy Technical and Tactical programme. The Department has an excellent track record of providing a platform for the development of Performance Analysts, helping to improve individual’s skillsets and Analytical processes.
2. The Role
In this role you will contribute to the delivery of Performance Analysis services, predominantly working alongside the U9-14 programme in the Foundation and Youth Development Phases of the Academy. There will be several opportunities to assist and contribute to the Analysis of the older age groups in the Academy, including the Professional Development Phase. Core duties will include, to film and code games across the Academy and maintaining subjective and objective databases to evidence the Academy DNA and Playing Philosophy.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in working with Performance Analysis products such as Hudl Sportscode and applying these skills to create Analytical content to support the Technical and Tactical elements of the game.

3. The Person
The successful candidate will have or be working towards a BSc in Performance Analysis or a related discipline and will ideally have experience of applying knowledge in a Professional Football setting. You must also be proficient in using iWorks products. Due to the requirements of this role, you must have a flexible approach to work and be able to work evenings and weekends when required. You must possess strong communication skills and a strong work ethic to provide Analytical detail on a consistent basis.
