Kingston Active - Waves Leisure Centre provides Learn to Swim and Water Safety programming for over 2500 students every week and offers groups fitness, aqua and deep-water classes, a gymnasium and a range of other programs and services to the community.
We are seeking a Operations Coordinator to join the Active Kingston Team. Reporting to the Centre Director, your role is to:
Oversee the operations within Waves Leisure Centre
Assist Centre Director in tendering, appointment and on-going supervision of contracts associated with facility operations
Contractor Management – supervising on-site trades ensuring contractors adhere to City of Kingston contractor management policies and procedures
Staff supervision and coordination of Lifeguards and Duty Supervisors
Abide by legislative and regulatory requirements relevant the facility operations, including but not limited to, water quality, storage and handling of dangerous goods, guidelines for safe pool operations.
You will have:
In depth experience and knowledge of the Aquatic, Leisure and Recreation industry.
Demonstrated ability to manage contracts and resources, including equipment and technical plant operations
Computing skills including Microsoft suite
Relevant experience in coordinating and delivering services in a recreation facility/or similar community centre environment.
Tertiary qualifications in relevant field would be highly regarded
Ability to adopt and demonstrate the City of Kingston’s values of Future Orientated, Accountable, Dynamic, Expert, Community and Celebration
