The selected candidate will be required to work up between 8-14 hours per week from August to December with opportunity for increased hours and extension.
Actual work shifts within the above stated time period will be negotiated with the successful candidate with an expectation of being based around key program hours.
The Aquatic Program Coordinator will play a key role in developing and implementing aquatic activities at ACU, as well as promoting the University’s mission to all students, staff and coaches. The position oversees the management of coaches and the facility and provides a very high standard of care and service to a broad range of user groups. It supports the development of a University community, promoting student and staff participation at a vibrant campus that elevates an interest in the health of its members.
Remuneration is HEW 1.1 ($34.47 per hour includes 25% casual loading). Responsibilities include assisting with operations of the Brisbane Aquatic Program including:
Manage coaches and ensure consistent application of the program and philosophy across all programs within the greater program.
Coordinate the use and hire of facility using program software
Manage program administration and operations in conjunction with the SPC (Brisbane)
Explore opportunities for inclusion in local schools Physical Education and Sport programs.
Develop and implement opportunities for community engagement.
In collaboration with relevant ACU Sport staff develop a Marketing Plan centered on long term, regular facility utilisation.
Market the facility and programs to the University population and wider local market.
Adherence to OH&S regulations
Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor to assist the Student Engagement and Services directorate to achieve identified goals
