Job Description

British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) is the national governing body for higher education (HE) sport in the UK and the national university sports federation for GB Students on the international stage.

BUCS works with national governing bodies for sport to organise delegations to World University Games and Championships as well as European competitions.

BUCS is looking for someone who is organised, efficient, has good attention to detail and can work both independently and as part of the wider event team.

The main purpose of the role is to support the administrative requirements of the BUCS International programme, this includes but is not limited to; GB Students representation at international sporting competitions; BUCS Member representation at European events; the maintenance of positive partnerships with key sports governing bodies and federations and helping to increase the profile and awareness of the International programme.

If you have an interest in working in international event administration and have a love of sport this is a great opportunity for you.

The full job description can be found in the job advert on the BUCS website: https://www.bucs.org.uk/jobs-listing/international-administrator.html

The job description advertises the role location as based in London and there will likely be some requirement to visit the London office. However, our commitment is to hire the best candidates for the role, and we would be open to a conversation at interview about flexible working and how best this could be accommodated.
Currently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, BUCS staff are working from home. The appointed candidate will need to be able to work from home.

Applicants should have an existing right to work in the UK and will be asked to provide proof of their eligibility to work in the UK before employment is confirmed.
