We are looking to recruit a committed, knowledgeable, and highly motivated practitioner to undertake the full-time role of Physiotherapist within the Football Science & Medicine Department. The successful candidate will have previous experience of working successfully within the performance sport environment.
Reporting in the first instance to the Lead Physiotherapist you will have a primary clinical role in the provision of physiotherapy services to the development and u18s squads, whilst being required to oversee the delivery of physiotherapy provision and match day pitch side cover to the Academy squads (u11-u16s).
Working in conjunction with your colleagues in the Football Science & Medicine Department you will ensure that all players across the football operation are appropriately supported to optimise their performance in training and competition.
PERSON SPECIFICATION Qualifications (Essential): • BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy or MSc Physiotherapy • CSP/HCPC Registered
Qualifications (Desirable): • Further Post Graduate Qualification e.g. MSc in Strength & Conditioning • Pitch Side Emergency First Aid Qualification e.g. ATMMiF Level 5
Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential): • Experience working within an MDT either in a professional or Olympic sport. • Experience of a role that required athlete management with an understanding of injury prevention and rehabilitation strategies. • Experience of strategic planning with evidence of vision and imagination. • Skilled in communicating complex data in terms that are easily understood by a wide range of audiences. • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to the environment, to motivate behavioural change and to facilitate performance gains. • Evidence of recent CPD and a comprehensive CPD portfolio.
Technology (Essential): • Having a range of IT skills to a high level of competency. • Knowledge of football specific software.
