Position Overview: 
As an Analyst in The Aspire Group’s Strategic Consulting & Research (SC&R) department your role would be to support and facilitate consulting work for Aspire’s partners. Our partners may reach out to SC&R to drive revenue and improve their bottom line, more fully understand their fanbase, or for due diligence and guidance on major strategic decisions. Your responsibilities would include the development, analysis, and presentation of a variety of research projects, including, but not limited to:
     • Fan Satisfaction Surveys
     • Targeted Focus Groups
     • Ticket Revenue Maximization via Pricing Optimization
     • Process Audits of Property Systems
As an SC&R Analyst and part of the wider “SAM” (SC&R, Analytics, and Marketing) team, you would promote all three individual departments and their work by participating in synergistic thinking on how to provide value to Aspire’s partners above and beyond outsourced sales and service capabilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Act as the main project contributor for SC&R engagements. 
    • Design initial research processes alongside the SAM Vice President. 
    • Execute market and fan research. 
    • Clean and analyze primary data sets. 
    • Create and assist in presenting research reports, findings, and recommendations to partners. 
    • Act as a point of contact for current partners, organizing project status meetings as appropriate. 
  • Assist the SAM Vice President in the execution of SC&R’s growth and development. 
    • Participate in new business creation through pitch decks, prospecting calls, and needs assessments at both current and potential partners. 
    • Bolster SC&R’s and the SAM team’s industry leader positioning. 
    • Identify and analyze published research and data regarding fan experience and ticketing within the sport and entertainment industry. 
    • Stay informed on research tools and trends. 
    • Assist the SAM Vice President in the preparation of “White Papers” for publication in relevant trade journals and, when applicable, presented at industry conferences. 
  • Maintain internal data sources to further SC&R and The Aspire Group’s overall industry knowledgebase.
  • Perform other research and consulting projects, such as internal Aspire surveys, which are not outlined above.
 
Essential Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field (preferably quantitative in nature).
  • High Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • An ability to design compelling and appealing deliverables using charts, graphs, tables, etc.
  • Experience with survey design platforms (e.g. Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, SurveyGizmo/Alchemer, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of market research practices and experience with mathematical analysis.
  • An ability to learn quickly and work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines for concurrent projects and clients.
  • Experience synthesizing disorganized data and reporting findings to key decision makers.
  • An enthusiastic and inquisitive approach to quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to encourage collaboration, flexibility, equity and inclusion that enables colleagues to contribute to their full potential, feel valued, and supported.

Preferred Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in Market Research, Statistics, Psychology, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience working as a market researcher or in a related position.
  • Experience presenting research findings directly to clients.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and reporting packages (e.g. SPSS, SAS, etc.), databases (e.g. SQL, etc.), and programming languages (e.g. Python, R, VBA, etc.).
