Emirates Old Trafford, the Home of Lancashire Cricket is a world class multi-purpose venue, from hosting international cricket to sell-out concerts, with a 150-bed hotel with 85 pitch facing rooms. Conference & events facilities that can cater from 10 to 2,000 people from small meetings to large exhibitions and conferences. We are looking for recruit an IT Technician to join our Maintenance team. This is an exciting opportunity for any individual that wants to progress their career in this field, whilst working in the fast-paced and vibrant environment of a stadium. It will be your responsibility to ensure the Club is supported in all aspects of IT, working closely alongside our external IT Support company. The Role
Responsible for the clubs I.T requests that may come in from any department. Ranging from Laptop issues, printer issues, till issues etc. You will be expected to take control and fix all basic issues and be the main contact for the club when liaising with Lantec (Our IT Support Contractor) on more complex issues. Assist in completion of small projects that require IT support. Such as till installation or work in the media suite for example Completion of planned and reactive maintenance tasks. These will be issued by your line Manager or the departmental Co-ordinator Carry out inspections, checks and audits as required and in line with programmed work. All of these will be reported back to your line Manager or the departmental co-ordinator. Management of I.T / AV / Technical contractors when they are site. You will act as the client on behalf of the club and when around be the main point of contact. All work will need to be logged and reported as necessary. Take on admin duties such as maintaining records, preparing reports, ordering supplies and equipment To work alongside the Marketing and external media teams on the new Lancashire TV media suite To ensure knowledge of all tills is of the highest standard so you can fix easy issues with them and ensure the Guest Experience is not ruined. Will support all departments to ensure we have as close to 100% availability as possible on IT based functions. Will support the facilities department as required in other areas, especially helping with set ups for events which may require a more hands on approach.
A recognized skill or official qualification relevant to I.T or Technical maintenance – This is desirable but mentoring and experience will be provided regularly by our IT support contractors Lantec. An understanding of Health and safety systems Professional presentation of self, records and reports Experience and knowledge of stadium and / or hotel maintenance requirements is desirable but not a necessity. A ‘can do’ attitude that will enable you to help the department wherever needed.
