Your Next Job
This is a truly special and unique opportunity for your next job as our HR Manager. You will be pivotal in in influencing the future direction of people-focussed matters spanning across our whole portfolio of businesses.
As the HR Manager based on Mt Buller in a full-time permanent role you will be a part of our senior management team and have 4 experienced, direct reports of your own across HR, Payroll and Staff Services functions that are a warm, friendly, a well-oiled machine, with 40+ years on alpine & snow industry experience between them. This is a unique opportunity to step up into a managerial role whilst still providing hands-on operational best practice HR across the full spectrum of HR and staff services. You bring HR and we can bring the rest!
What we’ll need from you
Providing the best guest and staff experience is core to our whole operations. We will need you to ensure that we are able to align our people and culture experience with the purpose, vision and values of the Buller Ski Lifts Group.
As you establish yourself as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to our leadership team we will need you to analyse our requirements, develop innovative strategies and own them to champion a healthy, connected and engaged workplace culture. You will ensure regulatory compliance to the relevant legislation by overseeing the identification, assessment and mitigation of industrial relations issues and risks.
We will be relying on you to:
Resource, on-board and manage our talent, supporting the development and progression of our people
Be our subject matter expert on all things employee relations, interpreting awards, contracting, performance management, grievances and investigation
Oversee and manage all HR systems, reporting, policy and procedure review, documentation and education
Manage the operations of the Staff Services function which include staff accommodation, transport, uniforms, HR and Payroll.

To be successful in your next job, you will need to bring with you:
A shared passion for Snow, and the Alpine Environment through all seasons
Proven generalist capability across the HR spectrum with deep experience in employee relations, we’ve a diverse workforce with multiple awards and enterprise agreements
Strong business partnering experience with proven ability to engage and build relationships with key stakeholders
Demonstrable experience reviewing and developing HR policies and procedures in line with industry best practice
Strong HR systems and reporting acumen
