About the role We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced educator to lead our school holiday program team. Leading a small and close knit team you'll care for children in our school holiday program. The position consists of: * 8 hour per week administration role during the term. During the school holidays, the coordinator will work within the program with extended hours. * Creating a safe and fun environment for the children that is engaging and ensure a positive service experience for both children and their parents/guardians; * Liaising and collaborating with families to provide feedback on the daily experiences of the children in your care The Coordinator must have a sound knowledge of Education & Care Services National Law Act & Regulations 2010, National Quality Framework, which includes; My Time Our Place & National Quality Standards. About you We're looking for someone who brings great energy, care and enthusiasm to their work and to the environment! You'll be someone who: * Loves working with children and supporting their development; * Communicates clearly and carefully to children and parents alike; * Is an advocate for setting the highest standards in child care; * Has a good understanding of the National Quality Framework, Victorian Early Years Framework and the Education and Care National Regulations and Act; and, * A practical flare for maintaining these standards and ensuring the safety of all when working in a room full of children! Essential Qualifications * Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent qualifications or Actively Working Towards Qualification * First Aid Level II, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications (or willingness to obtain) * Working with Children Card YMCA, including Boards of Directors, is committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding Children and Young People framework.
