About You: UCFB and GIS are seeking an ambitious and driven Marketing & Communications Executive with an appetite to grow and progress their career.
The post-holder will be responsible for the production of written content for the UCFB website, marketing materials, external publications and communications. A journalistic flair is essential, as well as the ability to adapt copy to different audiences and stakeholders from corporate communications to mainstream newsworthy content on current sporting events.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting in the company’s PR goals, and should therefore be skilled at spotting a story as well as writing and distributing press releases.
It will require a hands on approach to content creation, with additional responsibilities for liaising with students, graduates, staff, partners and guests to line up and conduct interviews on and off camera, both in person and online. The ability to form and maintain excellent relationships is therefore essential, as is the need to have a professional approach.
Attention to detail, impeccable written and verbal communications skills, creativity and strong organisational abilities are all essential requirements for this role.
Whilst the role is based in Wembley, London, there may be opportunities to travel to our campus in Manchester and across the UK for content capture. The remit of the role includes the entire UCFB and GIS portfolio, including content from both UK campuses and our global study hubs in the US, Canada and Australia, covering Undergraduate and Master’s degrees as well as Executive Education and Professional Qualifications. In addition, knowledge of the football and sports industry would be beneficial to ensure UCFB and GIS stay at the forefront of the sector from a marketing and communications perspective.
As an important member of the Marketing department, this role will work closely with the Marketing Executives and Creative Media Producers at UCFB and GIS, as well as other functions within the department such as Student Recruitment and Events.
