Surrey Sport Park’s in-house Sports Injury & Therapy Clinic; The Treatment Room, is expanding its offering and therefore looking to recruit a Physiotherapist, Sports Therapist and /or Osteopath to join their forward thinking and passionate team of clinicians. Home to both British Basketball League & Netball Super-league franchises, Surrey University’s Team Surrey and a host of Personal Trainers and Dietician’s with a wealth of knowledge, Surrey Sports Park has a reputation for a high standard of professional care and The Treatment Room is no exception.
Since launching, The Treatment Room has developed a broad client base across a range of ages, from those who are sedentary to high performing athletes in a variety of sports. It is accessible to the Sports Parks 8,000-member database as well as non-members, University staff and students providing an excellent foundation to interact with potential clients and increase earnings. Opportunities to increase client footfall through the clinic will be provided, but it is expected that practitioners use their own initiative and provide ideas to the Clinic Manager for promotional events.
Successful applicants will be reliable practitioners with a minimum of two year’s post-graduate experience in the industry. Experience of private practice, as well as a sporting environment is preferred but not essential. You will have the skills to immerse yourself in the culture of the Sports Park as part of the close-knit Health, Fitness & Wellbeing team, have an interest in the customer journey and how The Treatment Room forms a strong part of their experience, as well as actively work towards revenue targets. Our state-of-the-art gym facilities provide an excellent environment for client rehabilitation as well as an opportunity to work alongside and cross-refer with Personal Trainers and wider throughout the Sports Park. You will have a drive to learn from others to support your professional development, with the opportunity to attend internal CPD events.
Up to 30 clinic hours is available for the right applicant making one of the roles a full-time commitment, including peak times of early morning or late evening shifts. Weekend availability is also desirable. Work will be undertaken on a commission basis.
• Minimum of BSc (Hons) 2:1 or above or equivalent in relevant profession (Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, Osteopathy)
• Relevant registration & public liability insurance:
- Registration to CSP & HCPC / Member of Society Sports Therapists / General Osteopathic Council
• Minimum 2 years’ post graduate experience
• A desire to generate business by working within a team
• Self-motivated, reliable & able to build relationships quickly
Duties & Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility will be examination, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation utilising your skills and knowledge. Aside from this you will be expected to contribute to the marketing and communications plan for the Treatment Room, with a focus on connecting with the wider community, in-house coaches and outreach plans. Regular meetings with the Clinic Manager and wider Health, Fitness and Well-being team will also be required.
