Full time Development Football

Job Description

This is an exciting time for the Association; with the introduction of a new 3-year FA National Game Strategy from July 2021 and a dynamic staffing structure, we are best placed to deliver an excellent service to our participants.

This fantastic opportunity reports directly to the Senior Football Development Officer (Participation) and offers the right candidate the chance to drive a culture of innovation, creativity and excellent customer engagement through successful delivery of the FA National Game Strategy and Company Business Strategy.

We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of all aspects of the grassroots game, has a passion for delivering outstanding customer service standards and has a desire to provide an engaging and bespoke service to underrepresented groups.

The role will consist of building strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the game, including grassroots clubs and leagues, professional clubs, local authorities, community groups and diversity & inclusion organisations, in addition to working strategically with colleagues internally.

Our aim is to support our existing clubs and leagues to continue to provide an excellent experience to their participants whilst also identifying new and exciting opportunities to help more people play football more often. Whilst the role will be there to support existing provision, the development of ‘new participants’ to the game will be integral to the success of the role.

If you’re passionate about the development of football in the area, particularly for those from underrepresented groups, and would like to have a positive impact on the experience of those involved in the game then we’d like to hear from you.

You must be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. You will also have experience of establishing and ensuring compliance with processes, people management, and a working knowledge of underrepresented groups.

Candidates must be able to work both unsupervised and under their own initiative. You will also be happy and available to work weekends and evenings.
