What is the role? You could join us in the role of Casual Academy Physiotherapist, where you will be developing, organising, coordinating and implementing treatment and rehabilitation, medical screening and health/medical education programmes for the 9-16 year old Academy players. The role will also require promotion of the health and wellbeing of the players to maximise their performance whilst ensuring medical continuity across the 9-16 age groups.
What are we looking for? The successful candidate will have strong communication and teamwork skills and able to work closely with others to work towards and achieve department aims, along with having excellent organisational and time management skills, and the ability to prioritise workload in order to complete tasks in a timely manner. The appointed candidate will demonstrate duty of care for players and perform all tasks in line with best practice.
The competencies which are required include:
Essential Skills and Experience: •Excellent communication skills. •Organisational skills.
Desirable Skills and Experience: •Previous experience working as a physiotherapist (F/T or P/T) in an Academy setting. •Experience in working in an interdisciplinary sports science and medical team.
Essential Qualifications: •CSP/HCPC registered.
Desirable Qualifications: •Up to date FA first aid (ITMMiF). •Advanced Trauma Training (ATTMiF). •FA Safeguarding.
