Next Gen Health & Lifestyle Clubs consists of premium fitness, aquatic, wellness and racquet clubs in Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth and Auckland.

Next Gen Doncaster is planned to become one of Next Gen’s flagship locations, offering a premium level of service and luxury amenities not yet seen in Melbourne. The 11,000 metre² facility will feature latest innovations in training equipment, with a range of health, fitness and lifestyle amenities including a full suite of studio classes, resort-style indoor and outdoor heated pools, a premium spa retreat, four tennis courts, a members’ lounge and a licensed café.

Reporting to the General Manger, the Health & Fitness Manager will provide leadership and direction to the Fitness Instructors, Personal Trainers and Group Fitness Instructors and ensure the delivery of quality, innovative fitness programs that compliment Next Gen as a premium provider within the fitness industry.

As a member of the Head of Department (HOD) team, this position will contribute to defining the operational strategies across all aspects of the Club. Your managerial duties will include regular one-to-ones with your team, using your skills and expertise to nurture and develop staff to reach their personal best and together, deliver a positive member experience.

In addition to the supervision, rostering and mentoring of staff the role includes administration and management of services, programs, social media, technology, facilities and procedures related to the fitness product and will be required to work with a range of stakeholders.

You will lead a member-centric retention plan that includes new member inductions, personalised fitness programs and reviews, and drive Personal Training. This is a hands-on role and you will be an integral part of the Gym Floor Team.

To be considered for this role you will hold a minimum Cert IV in Fitness, with demonstrated experiences managing member focussed gym, group exercise and personal training services, along with a proven track record of taking business forward financially and operationally.

You must be passionate about health and fitness, with the proven ability to design and deliver quality and innovative fitness programs. Your natural leadership qualities and member satisfaction focus will establish a team that supports Next Gen’s position as a premium fitness product.
