Duties and Responsibilities
This role forms a key part of our Student Engagement and Communications team, led by the Head of Student Engagement and Communication. Comprising departments including; Student Activities, Advice, Representation, Volunteering and Marketing, the team delivers the core functions of the Union, with one of the largest student engagement programs in the UK. The Student Engagement and Communications team, and this role, are key to the successful delivery of our new strategic plan that will set us on the path to become one of the best students’ unions in the UK, and more importantly a better students’ union for our members.
The post holder will oversee the administration for TeamUCL; one of the largest competitive University sport programmes in the UK. The post holder report to the Sports Development Manager and work alongside the Sports Development Coordinators, Project Active Coordinator, Project Active Coordinator (Post-Graduate), and a range of talented student staff, and be responsible for supporting the team to achieve our goal of being the best university for Sport in London.
This role is initially offered on a one-year fixed term basis.
Candidates must have significant experience of administrative focused work, including experience of supporting the delivery of large scale sporting events, experience of managing website content, high level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, databases and social media and web content management systems, strong customer service, stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of people and an in-depth knowledge of HE sporting structures. Candidates must be passionate about university sport.
