An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Sports Manager to lead the team to deliver exceptional customer experience on a full-time fixed term basis. Responsible for the management of this fantastic stadium, the team and our local community, you will oversee and be responsible for management of all sports competitions, administration, event and customer services.
Note. Regular night-shift work is a mandatory requirement of the role.
Our ideal candidate will first and foremost be passionate about the Sports & Recreation industry and ready for a challenge. The role will require a highly energetic approach to both staff engagement, safety and customer service, so you will possess a passion and have athletic or coaching experience for sports (cricket, beach volleyball, netball and soccer) with a strong and organised work ethic. The stadium is fast paced and demanding, so you will be calm under pressure and will be able to demonstrate a strong aptitude to respond quickly to changing priorities and to manage a range of issues.
Above all else, you will need to take the initiative to maximise the venue utilisation through sporting competitions, hire, events, functions and any other usage compatible with the venue. You will also possess a fun outgoing friendly rapport with the stadium’s valued customer base.
