Permanent full-time (38 hours per week)

  • Senior customer service role in a vibrant leisure centre
  • Saturday, Sunday, and Public Holiday loadings where applicable
  • Large eastern suburbs community-based facility

Randwick City Council is seeking an enthusiastic, qualified, and experienced Senior Customer Service Officer to work a variety of hours (various times between 5am to 8pm daily, including weekends) at the Des Renford Leisure Centre.

The successful applicant will be required to provide the highest standard of customer service to all patrons while maintaining a safe recreational environment and abiding by all workplace procedures.

The position provides a stimulating and challenging role working in a dynamic fast paced environment. The successful applicant will actively join a diverse team and be an advocate for business improvement, innovation, and bottom line focused.

The successful applicant will possess an outgoing enthusiastic nature, have previous experience in the recreation or leisure industries, and all aspects of front-line customer service, memberships, food handling and stock control.

To be considered for this position you will need to possess and demonstrate:

  • Experience in a multi-functional front-line customer service environment.
  • Experience in cash handling and daily cash balancing and reconciliations.
  • Ability to lead a team to achieve positive outcomes with some direct supervision and to demonstrate initiative and make informed decisions when required.
  • Well-developed communication skills to enable effective communication with internal and external customers.
  • Experience in point of sale, stock systems and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution.
  • Working knowledge of Food Safety, WH&S and NSW Health Department principles.

Employment in this position is subject to an NSW Working with Children Clearance, as per the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.
