Job Description

The Western Sydney Wanderers Football Club is seeking a passionate and motivated CRM Membership & Marketing Executive to join our team, located at our Head Office. 

The CRM Membership and Marketing Executive will join our team and assist in fostering a data-focused culture at the Western Sydney Wanderers. The role will encompass servicing internal departments within the Club especially the Marketing, Membership & Ticketing and Corporate teams.

The roles success will be measured on the ability to provide accurate, timely and insightful analysis of our CRM system, implementing targeted email campaigns and develop a deep understanding of the businesses target markets using Salesforce and Archtics systems. 

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Develop strategies to grow database locally, nationally, and internationally
  • Data extraction, manipulation, and modelling across a wide range of data sets
  • Delivery of projects including data sets such as ticketing, membership, and corporate data analysis
  • Working closely with the Marketing Team to identify digital campaign opportunities
  • Ensure that data extraction and data outputs are completed in accordance with scheduled deadlines
  • Developing new analysis models based on strategic decision-making processes
  • Translate raw data findings into reports for the Head of Marketing & Communications, Commercial Manager and Membership & Ticketing Manager
  • Assist in the delivery of data analysis and reporting that may be associated with the Merchandise Department and Online Shop
  • Understanding commercial and fan development strategies to develop analysis and derive insights relevant to the business
  • Develop monthly and Home Round reports to identify trends across retention, acquisition, and engagement of database records


  • Involvement in broader marketing strategy development and implementation across the Wanderers business
  • Involvement in Membership & Ticketing initiatives when required

Key Outcomes: The success of the role will be measured by:

  • Delivery of monthly and Home Game reports to identify trends across retention, acquisition, and engagement of database records
  • Detailed analytics reporting across the Wanderers database
  • Growth of Wanderers total database reflecting strategic business KPIs
  • Membership retention results reflecting internal business KPIs

Knowledge, skills and behaviour required:  The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong track record of delivering business insight and finding innovative ways to add value to their business using a broad range of data sets. We will be looking for evidence of the below skills:

  • 1-5 years’ experience in a marketing analytics role
  • Experience in database analysis and reporting (TM Archtics database / CRM)
  • Experience with Salesforce systems and campaign management (e.g. email & SMS) including Marketing cloud and Service Cloud
  • Previous internal or external report responsibility
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work across wide ranging data inputs
  • Tertiary related qualifications in a Business, IT or Marketing related discipline
  • Proven experience with data mining techniques and Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into insights and communicate recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with experience in data visualisation to extract key insights
  • Candidates must be clear thinking, calm under pressure and be able to demonstrate conflict resolution skills
  • Strong experience in front facing relationship management and fan engagement techniques during game days (i.e. ticket box, game day experiences)
  • Strong communications (verbal & written) and relationship management skills
  • Strong project management disciplines inclusive of the ability to prioritise at peak times 
  • A well organised approach and strong desktop computer application skills


  • Experience in large customer/member/fan engagement environment
  • Some competency with Adobe products, specifically Photoshop

Major interactions

Reporting through to Wanderers Head of Marketing & Communications, and Membership & Ticketing Manager this position will have daily interaction with the Club’s Marketing and Commercial teams.

Unique Criteria

Due to the project nature of event delivery, flexibility of work hours will be required to ensure deadlines are met. Additionally, the actual delivery of events often involves significant work during non-business hours.
