JOB TITLE: Personal Trainer/Fitness Team Member
DEPARTMENT: Health Club & Spa
REPORTING TO: Fitness Manager
JOB FUNCTION: To provide a welcoming atmosphere for all guests and members, supporting them through their fitness and well being goals. To ensure the clientele receives 5-Star customer care.
LOCATION: Stamford Bridge – SW6 1HS
CONTRACT: Permanent – 40-hours weekly, shift work
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (Play Your Part):
Working as an integral part of the team on the gym floor, interacting with gym members and colleagues in a professional manner at all times.
Ensure correct use of the facilities and equipment’s and be vigilant for members’ safety.
Ensure the gym is clean and free of health and safety hazards.
Deliver exercise classes and workshops.
Perform fitness assessments and offer fitness programmes for members. Being able to track and follow up member’s fitness progress.
Able to plan and have good administration skills to deal with the day to day running of the fitness department.
Support other departments within the club.
Keep lines of communication between the gym and reception desk clear.
Help with administrative duties for the fitness/reception team, e.g. updating studio cover, updating club posters, etc.
Cover the Club Reception desk as and when is needed to ensure the smooth running of the gym.

Experience of devising training programmes
Friendly, approachable and able to work within a team
Must be able to do flexible working hours.
Level 2/3 Certificate in Fitness Instructing or equivalent.
Able to teach a variety of studio classes and possess a current Exercise to Music qualification.
Some knowledge of computers and spreadsheets.
Enthusiastic, Confident, approachable. Well presented and well groomed.
To have worked in a Gym or Health Club.
Min. 12 months experience in relevant fitness field
The Employee must at all times carry out his/her responsibilities with due regard to Chelsea Football Club policies and procedures in particular Health & Safety, Financial Authorisation, Confidentiality and with regard to the Data Protection Act. The Employee must act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are in their care or attending the Company's premises. The Employee must report any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the Safeguarding Lead.
