This internship offers experience within our in-house scoreboard operation and Heinz Field club events. The Scoreboard & Video Production Intern will work closely with the Stadium Events Manager/Gameday Producer and Audio/Video Manager; and collaborate within the Steelers scoreboard team. This department assists in creation and implementation of content on digital and broadcast platforms for team and stadium events.
Candidates must be able to receive academic credit as this is an unpaid opportunity.
Opportunities & Responsibilities
Assist with capturing, editing, producing and publishing video content
Assist with producing short-form video packages
Assist with motion graphic creation for in-stadium digital signage
Assist with setup and breakdown of video production equipment
Develop skills in quality, consistency and creative messaging of all video projects
Required skills, experience & abilities
One student will be accepted for this position for the Fall Internship Class (Aug. 31st-Dec. 31st).
Internship Office hours are 10am-5pm and candidates must be available 3-5 days per week.
Proficient in video techniques, including lighting and camera positioning among others.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite; specifically Photoshop and After Effects.
Experience in daily production processes – pulling, uploading, and editing content.
Must possess a strong understanding of digital practices.
Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism within a professional sports environment and in media work zones.
High attention to detail.
Able to work independently and take initiative.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
