Sport Graduate Behaviour Mentor
Are you a sport graduate or sport student looking for a career in education? If so, Veritas Education are searching for behaviour support mentors to work in a special school in Bradford. This role has a focus on behaviour support and behaviour management, alongside supporting the pupils with their SEMH.
Role:
- Throughout this role as a behaviour mentor, you will be required to support pupils in a group setting and on a 1-1 basis with their learning
- You will also support and assist their social and emotional and behavioural needs throughout the school day
- You will be required to support and de-escalate their behaviour and be confident with behaviour management
- Be proactive and be a positive role model to the pupils
Requirements:
- GCSE Maths and English
- 2:2 and above in a sport university degree (or currently completing the course)
- Previous experience supporting children and young people is desirable
- Relevant training and certificates such as Team Teach is desirable, although training can be offered by Veritas
- Candidates must hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS upon registration
- Have proof of eligibility to work in the UK
