Cranbrook School is seeking an experienced and energetic Administrator to provide administrative support to both the Co-Curricular and Sports Departments.

Reporting to the Director of Co-Curricular and Director of Sports, the successful applicant will carry out a complete range of high-level administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the full range of Cranbrook Co-Curricular and Sport offerings.

Some of the key tasks for this role include:

Data management, scheduling, administrative support, events, awards, communications, assist with staffing, rostering assistance, tours and camps, travel arrangements, updates of policies and procedures.

Essential skills and experience

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in providing high-level admin support at a senior level, preferably but not necessarily, within an educational/sporting environment;
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Competent use of databases;
  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to think ahead and prioritise;
  • The ability to maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality;
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and remain focused and calm;
  • Strong attention to detail and meticulous proof-reading skills;
  • Ability to work in a self-directed proactive manner on occasion, but also enjoys working as an integral part of a team;
  • A genuine interest in, and ability to develop relationships within the school community at all levels;
  • Flexibility and a desire to see tasks completed to a high standard; and
  • A caring and customer service-based approach in all interactions.

A minimum of Tertiary /TAFE qualifications/or similar in business/office administration.
