Our new CEO, with international basketball experience, requires a Partnerships Manager who can create and execute with him, NSBAs new commercial business strategy to drive step change revenue growth.

This is a newly created role and takes an individual who can share and contribute to the vision.

The role

  • Take a driven commercial approach to generating new revenue including identifying partnerships that align with NSBAs growth aspirations and values;
  • Create new assets that generate revenue opportunities using existing networks of CEO and self;
  • Lead successful identification, presentation, commercial negotiation of project in conjunction with a highly capable team including Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator;
  • Develop trusted partnerships and excellence in the execution and delivery of value to partners and NSBA, ensuring retention and continued growth;
  • Accountable for being a key stakeholder in Norths marketing strategies that build North’s reputation as being a leading association/ community organisation including: sponsorships, partnerships, social media, EDMs, marketing, communications, media, website and merchandising.

About you

You have a depth of commercially driven marketing experience and are driven and engaged by targeting big goals!

Other key attributes and qualifications:

  • Works best in collaborative working relationship with CEO, with ability to proactively work independently and network with professionals at all levels of organisations
  • Proven experience in smart effective marketing strategies with growth outcomes and the ability to be innovative and solutions oriented
  • Likely to have 2 to 4 years’ experience in similar role
  • Must have had sponsorship/partner management with examples of providing compelling solutions to partner needs and a reputation for delivering value
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to develop plans with Partners to assist in promoting games, noting NSBA has a confirmed licence for the Men’s and Women’s NBL1 for 2023/2024
  • Engaging and effective strong interpersonal and communication skills as you work with a diverse member and community base
  • Unrestricted Australian working rights and ability to get a current NSW Working with Childrens’ Check
  • Retail Licencing, product marketing and promotional campaign development experience in sports would be valued.

Work location, hours and remuneration

The role will predominately be based at Norths, with some flexibility after fully functional in the role. You will need to be available to meet with key stakeholders at events including at weekends or evenings when required.

We shut down over major holidays like Christmas/New Year, Easter, Queens Birthday and Labour Day so you won’t miss big occasions with friends or family.
