About the role
The Head Coach Cycling (Endurance) will lead a redesigned WAIS program aligned with AusCycling’s national strategy, providing opportunities for talented cyclists across all disciplines to be integrated into a world-leading development environment.
The Head Coach will be responsible for the developing endurance cyclists through exposure to a mix of track cycling, road cycling and mountain biking, facilitating Individual Athlete Scholarships and a camps-based approach for categorised athletes in acceleration and action disciplines (track sprints, BMX riders), and leading the interdisciplinary collaboration of the WAIS Cycling Program performance enhancement team to develop cyclists with the attributes to become successful international level riders.
The Head Coach Cycling will support WA pathway initiatives including coach mentoring and engagement, talent identification / talent transfer initiatives, and Paralympic athlete integration.

The role is based out of the WAIS High Performance Service Centre in the Mt Claremont Sporting Precinct, the Perth SpeedDome and will require domestic travel.
We are looking for an enthusiastic coach with the proven ability to develop cyclists to a national and international level. You will have sound knowledge of contemporary issues associated with high-performance sport and the development of elite athletes for success in the national and international arena.

This is a fixed term contract through to the 2024 Olympic Games, with the potential to extend to the 2028 Olympic cycle. Anticipated salary is from $90,525 - $107,942 + Superannuation and will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
