About the Position:

You will be part of the Health and Wellness team working with the group Program Coordinator to assist in the delivery, supervision and reporting of the group fitness programs across the 3x Active Monash sites. As part of this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Data collection and recording center usage
  • Manage staff rosters including covers and updating group exercise timetable/s
  • Assist implementing policies and procedures
  • Maintain maintenance schedule
  • Work with Group Program Coordinator to develop and market new programs
  • Assist in delivering special Group Exercise events

About You:

  • Experience in the leadership of high quality personal and group training services that focus on excellent results and program delivery
  • Current knowledge of fitness industry trends and development
  • Experience in communicating with members, guests and staff
  • Ability to set and achieve program targets in a competitive environment
  • Well-developed problem-solving and complaint resolution abilities

Requirement of the position:

  • Employee Working with Children’s Check;
  • Satisfactory National Police Check;
  • Registration with Fitness Body such as Fitness Australia;
  • Level 2 First Aid Certificate with current CPR;
  • Safeguarding Children Certificate; and
  • Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.

Essential Information:

In accordance with the Chief Health Officer direction, all local government employees must be fully vaccinated from 26 November, 2021. Successful candidates will be required to demonstrate evidence of vaccination status or medical exemption prior to commencement.
