About Us

Sydney University Cricket Club boasts over 150 years of passion and tradition. 

From the first University of Sydney students taking to the Garrison Ground (what is now the site of the SCG), through to the current NSW Premier Cricket 1st Grade Premiers, SU Cricket is founded on excellence.

SU Cricket's home on the Camperdown Campus of The University of Sydney places it in a picturesque and iconic location close to the Sydney CBD.

The Club is supported by Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness, the premier sporting body in Australian university sport. This support assists SU Cricket Club with state-of-the-art facilities, as well as allowing our student members to pursue their cricketing dreams whilst completing their chosen studies.

In over 150-years of cricket, Sydney University Cricket Club has boasted 20 players with international experience, and a further 85 players with first-class experience.

About the Role

The Match Day Canteen Manager of the Sydney University Cricket Club (SUCC) reports to the General manager of SUCC and has the following responsibilities:

  • Home match day hosting duties
  • Ensure all officials and teams are looked after
  • All canteen duties including stocks and orders week to week including lunch and tea organisation
  • Set up and monitoring of live stream on match days (training will be supplied)
  • All match day manager roles as set out by NSW Premier Cricket
  • Facility lockup at the end of each match day

Employment Dates

Commencing on the week of 12 September 2022 through to the 2 April 2023 (end date may change depending on Finals).   Mostly Saturday and Sundays.

Shift Requirements

  • Mostly Saturday and Sundays with occasional mid-week matches.
  • Normal shift being 8am -6pm (this can vary due to weather)
  • There will be a 2 week break at Christmas


  • Interested in Cricket would be an advantage!
  • Must be reliable
  • Able to think for themselves
  • Work independently
  • Good communication skills
  • Being able to deal with the public is essential


  • RSA and First Aid qualifications an advantage but not essential.
