As a key role, our Head of Handicapping and Course Rating oversees and effectively implements the World Handicap System (WHS) and Course Rating system. Handicapping and Course Rating are core functions of the services England Golf provide to its affiliated members, iGolfers and golf clubs. Leading this area, you will work closely with our platform provider to maintain and develop the WHS system and data. You will also ensure that the platforms, processes, training and communications are effectively managed.

We’re looking for someone with:
• An ability to build and sustain relationships with staff, volunteers and partners
• Outstanding communication skills including public speaking/presentation skills
• Experience of management and administrative positions
• Prior work experience within the leisure or golf related industry

It is essential that you have a good understanding of the World Handicap System and Course Rating system and the structure of golf (general, club based and administration structure).

The post is full-time (Monday – Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm core hours) but you may be required to work weekends and evenings. The position is based at our headquarters in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire or can be remote. If remote, it is expected that time is spent at our headquarters at least 2 to 3 days every two weeks. You will be entitled to travel and other expenses.
