About the OpportunitySince opening in 1975, Griffith has grown from one campus and 451 students to become a comprehensive, multi-campus institution, with 50,000 students and more than 200,000 graduates. 

The Mt Gravatt Aquatic & Fitness Centre on the Griffith University Mt Gravatt Campus is seeking a suitably qualified Head Swim Coach to take the lead in managing and growing our amateur Swim Squad Program, in a casual staff capacity. Hours are based on seasonal requirements and program growth, and currently sit in the range of 10-15 hours per week. 

  • Develop and deliver all components of the Mt Gravatt Aquatic & Fitness Centre squad programs
  • Increase participation and engagement
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with all squad members, families, potential customers and all relevant stakeholders
  • Uphold a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Work within a team focused on delivering a service that achieves the vision, mission and goals of the organisation.

About you

  • Reliable, flexible and customer focused.
  • Experience in managing and executing high quality swimming programs to a diverse range of participants both youth and adult age groups.
  • Current Coaching qualifications and extensive experience are required, (pool lifeguard qualifications is advantageous).
  • You will display the values of respect, integrity, teamwork, excellence and responsibility.
  • Availability : Must have flexibility to work on mornings and evenings across the week including availability to work on weekends.

This is a casual position based at the Mt Gravatt Campus.

Salary range
Casual hourly rate based on qualifications and experience.
