Job Description

It's an exciting time for tennis in New South Wales and we have ambitious plans to continue to grow the game from grassroots through to high performance. We are transforming how we deliver tennis, with the aim of making it more accessible, to more people, more often. To help us achieve our plan we are looking for a Communications and Member Services Coordinator to join our team at Tennis NSW on a full time, ongoing basis.

In this role, you will support the Marketing, Communications & Member Engagement team with copy writing, eDM development and sends and website maintenance. You will also be responsible for the facilitation of the annual membership renewal process, maintaining our database of over 450 members and providing key administrative support for the successful running of the Tennis NSW Annual General Meeting. You will use your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to handle member queries and to facilitate the creation of communications for our membership base.

About the role

Reporting into the Head of Marketing, Communications & Member Engagement, In this role you will:

  • Facilitate regular communications to various audiences through website and email copy writing, eDM creation and sends, mass SMS communication and producing press releases
  • Facilitate the annual membership renewal process for members, ensuring members are compliant with the conditions of membership
  • Maintain the NSW membership database, including our Working with Children Check database and implement compliance strategies
  • Provide key administrative support for the successful running of the Tennis NSW Annual General Meeting
  • Ensure regular reporting on membership statistics

About you

What you will bring to the role:

  • Proficient in using the full Microsoft Office suite (Inc: Advanced Word and Excel capability)
  • Strong administration and reporting skills with strong attention to detail
  • A proactive and customer-centric attitude
  • Tertiary qualification in sport/event/business management or related area
  • Experience in sports industry is highly regarded
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
