About the Centre

The Phillip Island YMCA is located in central Cowes, adjacent to the main recreation and sports oval. Incorporating a skate park, indoor sports stadium, sauna, licenced creche, fully equipped health club and group fitness room and spinning room, school holiday vacation care, the facility is popular for both the many local community users and the scores of visitors to Phillip Island tourism destinations.

About the role

The YMCA Phillip Island are seeking a customer focused individual to join the team. The role provides opportunity to work as part of a fun, welcoming team in an environment that promotes health and wellbeing. As a Customer Service Officer at Phillip Island Leisure Centre you will be greeting members, responding to enquiries via email, phone or in-person, as well as performing general but important administrative tasks. Our Customer Service Officer's always put the customer experience at the forefront of all interactions with people within the community.

This role is being offered as either casual or part time, with an hourly rate of $21.26 (+25% casual loading) + super.

This role also includes taking on higher duties of Shift Supervisor during times when the management team are not on site, with an hourly rate of $27.80 (+ 25% casual loading) + super.

About you

With our focus on providing the exceptional customer experience and always providing outstanding customer service, you will need to be an engaging, friendly person, have basic computer skills and the ability to create a welcoming environment and connect with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Qualifications & Experience

  • First Aid and CPR certificates
  • Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous
