Palm Resort in Senai, Johor is one of the most complete resort destinations in the country with a luxurious deluxe-category hotel, award winning golf courses, spa, M.I.C.E., sports and leisure facilities, wishes to invite dedicated, talented and enterprising individuals for the position of Sports & Leisure Manager;

Job Responsibilites:

• Sports & Leisure Manager is responsible for the smooth running of daily operations of all sections under sports & leisure centre. This will include the sports facilities such as sports centre, gymnasium, both leisure and Olympic size swimming pool, bowling centre, the lawn court for outdoor leisure or sports events and activities.
• Focus on the business side of sports and recreation, including facility management, promotions and marketing, and event management.
• Planning and manage the department's annual budget.
• Hiring, training and supervising staff, identify their needs, make them fully understand the SOPs and the service standard required to ensure guest's or member's satisfaction.
• To ensure the health and safety procedures are being followed.
• Dealing with problems such as guest's complaints, staff disciplinary issues, minor accidents and damage property.
• Maintaining contractual records and follow up - arranging for equipment to be maintained and insured.
• Monitoring and regularly check on equipment need to be service, maintain, replace or planning the best use of space.
• Developing and implementing procedures and policies.
• To manage multiple assignments, documentation, reports and meet deadline (ability to work under pressure of tight deadline).

Job Requirements:

• A Self-motivated & ability to work independently, reliable, outgoing and enthusiastic.
• Candidate must possess at least Diploma / Degree in Sports Science or Sports Management.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience at supervisory level in related field; working experience in hotel industry is an advantage.
• Well organized and able to manage time, assertive and good in solving problems.
• Flexible and adaptable.
• A good team player, leader, able to motivate and manage staff.
• Good knowledge and experience in coaching of any one or few sports' game or event.
• Good business sense and ability to manage budgets with good communication and marketing skills.
• IT numeracy skills.
• Ideas for developing the Sports & Leisure centre.
