Operations Manager - North Burleigh Surf Lifesaving Club - Closing date 28 May 2022

About this role:

The primary duties will be running the overall operational responsibilities within the surf lifesaving club and ensuring they are delivered across all sectors in alignment with the key pillars and strategies of the board, Our Beach | Our People | Our Community | Our Future. 

North Burleigh Surf Club has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated Operations Manager. Possessing excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to adapt to our fast-paced environment executing on strategy; you will be responsible for the delivery of operations services across our surf lifesaving entity. With a vast mix of governance, compliance and managing multiple key stake holder expectations - your work will be directly assisting our members and the team in our mission of saving lives and creating a healthy, surf safe, community service hub with enduring friendships.

Some weekend work will be required during the summer season and flexible hours will be negotiated. A salary package will be negotiated to secure the services of the suitable applicant.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Well-developed organisation, planning and time management skills and an ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work both in a team environment and independently and use initiative to solve problems
• High level understanding and experience using web based applications, on-line resources and Microsoft suite of products
• Positive attitude and ability to work with and support volunteers
• Australian Drivers license
• Ability to hold and apply for a Working with Children Card

Ability to rapidly obtain:

• First Aid Certificate
• Bronze Medallion 

Desirable:

• Experience in surf lifesaving or a similar community-based activity
• 5 years experience in Operational Management
