Rideau Gymnastics is the largest gymnastics facility in Ottawa, within a multi-activity center on 26,000 sq. ft. We offer extensive recreational programs for all levels and ages, in several gymnastics disciplines. Our programs are growing and we are currently seeking full time or part-time recreational gymnastics and/or parkour coaches.
Hours:
Anywhere from 4 to 24 hours per week, depending on availability, suitability for various classes;
Salary:
$14-$19 - based on experience and qualifications
Experience:
None – for entry-level, will train;
Knowledge of gymnastics, dance, tumbling, physical/fitness training, (or other equivalents), working with children, leading children into games and/or physical activities are an asset;
Job Responsibilities
- Teach recreational and/or competitive gymnastics classes, assist with birthday parties, workshop, special club events;
- Work with groups of 6-8 children;
- Work in a dynamic environment;
- Train athletes and assist in plan development based on club direction
- Ensure athlete progression and achievement of goals
- Work in collaboration with all coaching staff to develop athletes and ensure club success
Job Requirements
- Good interpersonal skills, motivated, engaged, enthusiastic, friendly.
- Ability to continuously provide effective training sessions
- Ability to assist participants to achieve positive growth in gymnastics
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Positive and professional communication with athletes, parents, other staff
- Typical work week includes afternoon, evenings and weekend shifts
