1:1 Mentors are required to work with children and young people at risk of exclusion. Positive, inspiring and relatable role-models, are desperately needed to re-engage these often hard to reach young people. The therapeutic aspects of sport, physical exercise, music and dance, are all ways our Mentors find common ground and inspire this vulnerable group of young learners. Working both inside and outside of the classroom, Lexia Mentors are called upon to "intervene" where previous provisions have failed. Proud of our vibrant and inclusive community, the specialist work we undertake is changing the lives of young people. Free Team Teach positive behaviour management, de-escalation and physical intervention training will be provided for successful applicants (Summer 2022).
