ABOUT THE PROPERTY SPORTS NETWORK We organise sporting themed events in the property sector. We create fun and unique events to encourage people to improve their health and wellness whilst at the same time expanding their business network. Due to an expansion of the network we need a full time Event and Marketing Manager in order to deliver the new series of events that will launch in early 2020. To see some of our past and present events visit www.propertysportsnetwork.com JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Event Manager As Events Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running and end to end event management of the portfolio of events from planning to execution. You will be faced with a busy, challenging yet extremely rewarding environment. You will help shape the look and feel of the events, the role is best suited to a self-motivated, confident individual who is happy working individually as well as part of a successful team. • Lead on planning and organising the portfolio of events, including sourcing of venues • Overseeing on site Event Management, ensuring events are delivered to an exceptional standard. • Responsible for the co-ordination of the creation of proposals for events • Attend new business meetings / pitches where applicable. • Personally managing key stakeholders as agreed with the Managing Director • Deliver high quality levels of customer service • Work closely with stakeholders to define event objectives and create and deliver compelling, engaging events. • Supervise and manage event bookings, ticket sales and registration to ensure a seamless delegate booking experience, accurate records and provide high levels of delegate liaison • Manage the production of presentations and scripts to ensure professional event delivery • Prepare de-brief reports for stakeholders Marketing Manager • Responsible for network growth through year-on year-increases. • Oversee the overall sale and marketing strategy for events. • Develop and implement a variety of marketing campaigns • Manage brand • Manage social media and website • Monitor specific areas of marketing budget. • Develop marketing relationships with stakeholders • Act as point of contact for enquiries about events by email and phone - answer straightforward questions, provide or exchange information by phone or email etc • Manage CRM System • Working closely with team to produce marketing material PERSON SPECIFICATION Experience, Skills & Personal Qualities Required • Passionate about sport and promoting the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. • Experience in a similar role in either sport or the property sector. • Educated to degree level or equivalent qualifications; • A pro-active self-starter with an enthusiastic, determined approach to problem-solving • Excellent interpersonal and judgement skills and ability to build close working relationships with event attendees, hosts and sponsors • Strong attention to detail, particularly in proofing, copywriting and reporting • IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Office and PowerPoint • A flexible and energetic approach to work to achieve agreed deadlines within tight schedules. • Ability to prioritise, and work efficiently and professionally at busy times • Ability to work well within a small team, and take responsibility for a wide range of tasks • Shows initiative and the ability to work unsupervised • A desire to learn new skills. • Reliable and trustworthy. • Well-developed oral and written communication skills. Annual Paid Holiday 25 days plus 8 Statutory Bank Holidays (pro rata) Hours 35 hours per week. However, the post holder will be required to work such hours as may be necessary for the proper performance of the duties of the role. A flexible approach to work is requires as early mornings, evening and weekend working will be involved where events required.
