Collaborate with the Championship and Commercial team departments to create a best-in-class digital event business strategy across media, marketing, content and technology. Create opportunities for greater digital exposure of PGA’s Championship events in an effort to increase KPIs across all digital channels, such as ratings, viewership, engagement, and revenue. RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to): Oversee digital partnership operations with the PGA’s broadcast and digital media partners. Oversee the creation of clear and concise digital executional plans for each event by partnering with internal and external content, technology, product, marketing, sales, and brand teams. Oversee digital partnership activation on digital channels, whether partner advertising sales or business development. Initiate and manage new digital business development activities with partners. Participate in producing term sheets, regularly report out status, and act as account management for the ongoing relationship. Develop project management organizational constructs that facilitate clear communication and collaboration throughout various PGA and external matrix teams. Act as a primary digital liaison with the Championships department on digital efforts, including strategy, marketing, content, revenue, and more. Collaborate with individual event tournament directors on creating engaging and profitable digital strategies for their events. Create digital engagement and revenue opportunities for “at the event” experiences. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in marketing or a related field or equivalent experience required. Masters degree preferred. Five years experience working in digital sports media, ad sales, or business development roles. Exceptional organizational and project management skills. Required to understand the universe of sports rights and ins/outs of how deals form and function. Must be overly fluent in digital technology and media strategy, as this position will be touching all aspects of PGA’s Digital Championship efforts. Experience in outward client and/or partner management. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Must be knowledgeable about running a digital business. Ability to operate and integrate with various departments (content, technology, creative, etc). Ability to be naturally curious and figure out and/or work through ambiguous or complex problems with partners, peers, and management. Ability to be aware of the competitive marketplace and movement of key players. Ability to be professional and collaborative. Knowledge of GSuite..
